How Quickly things can Change!

Well, well, Thursday night hockey was a fine example of how quickly things can change! The Dark Side jumps out to a big lead when the night got started, but it didn't hold up!
Rick was playing like the Mircale 80's team goalie (Jim) and Mark was stiffer then a shot of Whiskey from Sandies!
I believe they were spotted a 5 or 6 goal lead!
Smiles were seen on all of them and to boot when John Q shows up late he throws on a Dark jersey! IN THE BAG! NOT!!!!!!!
The White Team steps up, inspired by Willy's effort and a beautifully executed Blue Line Shot! Hello Rick, what happened?
I think Mark may have started sipping on some wiskey, because he appeared to be more relaxed and comfortable. Nothing was getting by him!
Guess who the Big Offensive player for the White Team was?
No, no, no, guess again, ok I'll tell yah! Scott Wilkison! Yah Scott!
The White Team WINS!!!!!!

Shift changes, time on the ice!

Ok, please don’t put me in a position to have to Police Ice Time!
Two to three minutes of skate time is a fair shift!
Tired or not, CHANGE!
If the numbers are good and the teams have set lines and defs then please try and change as a group!
I realize on the nights we are short of players this rule doesn’t apply. Hopefully we won’t have too many of those nights.
If we all make a good effort to keep the shift changes quick then everyone should be happy with their ice time!
Thanks Dave

The RETURN!

Mark is back! He played well! Well maybe, he did let Bill score on a blistering shot.
Mark, your first night out was good, but Matt took this one!
I do believe Tammy wishes you were going to be out a little longer!
She held her own against Matt and I think she likes to serve Matt a little humble pie!
It was a good skate with the score staying close to the end. In the last few shifts of the night the White team found a few open holes and banged the puck home!

I have my home computer working again! Until the next Bad porn site I visit gives me something I don't want!
Virus protection software is very much like wearing a rubber! Something always happens no matter how hard you try and get it right!!!!!!!!!!

Good night!

Both Nights are off and running!

Sorry for the delays in posting anything new!
Problems getting onto the blog. The site keeps losing my account information and I have to get them to re-new it. Pain in the ass!

Rick, Tammy, and Matt have been filling in for Mark while he is out healing! Thanks and I appreciate the phone calls and updates as to when you goalies can play. Get well Mark! Have you ever missed this much Hockey in your life?

The Captains have done a good job and the games have been even! I've noticed the scoring come in spurts for one team or the other.

I hope everyone is getting their Wind back or is it, a lot of Wind from the back?
Have Fun and Enjoy!
Dave

2006 First Night!

10/2/06 Season opener for the Monday Niter’s

OH YEAH BABY! The season has started!
The Monday night game had Mr. and Mrs. Loomis tending goal. During the game they got to switch ends of the ice. One end had a BIG tilt to it!
They were awesome on penalty shots! Thanks and good job!

Now the two captains for the night was yours truly and Willie.
Listen Willie, we all know why you picked the way you did! I hope my thinking is correct, or did you have an accident on the farm before playing?
Your strategy to pick poorly in hopes of never being captain again didn’t work! You can’t fool me! I’m picking you to be captain again for Thursday also!
HA, ha, just kidding!
Oh yeah, The White Team crushed the Dark Side!
It felt good to play even though there were times when I thought I was going to die!
The body held up well and let’s hope it stays that way.

Maurice Wairt will blow the whistle on Mondays and I will be the whistle blower for Thursday.

To try and get the game started somewhat on time I’m working on a schedule for Captains.
Thursday Captains will be John Elliott and Anthony Palangi.

I will post the Captain Schedule on the Blog and hand out copies on game night.

Please use last years Sub-list until I post an up-dated one soon.
Thanks Dave
